LA NOSTRA VISIONE
Il Mar Mediterraneo in quanto bacino di connettività di tre continenti ha avuto un ruolo fondamentale nello sviluppo delle culture umane.
Oggi come allora non si spostano solo persone o merci, ma anche idee, parole o versi. I paesi che si affacciano sul Mediterraneo sono gli eredi del dialogo socratico e di quell’antico modo di ascoltare gli altri, di condividere pensieri e idee. Poeti, scrittori e artisti attraversano da sempre il mare per arricchire le coste, i porti e le città . Oggi come allora, una comunità di poeti, scrittori e artisti multiculturali può contribuire a costruire la pace e la solidarietà nella regione mediterranea. Oggi, dopo la pandemia, come allora dopo disastri e tragedie, questo desiderio di ascoltare, di condividere, di dialogare dà a tutti la speranza che la conoscenza possa essere una delle chiavi per cambiare il mondo e rigenerarsi.
OUR VISION
The Mediterranean Sea as a basin of connectivity of three continents has had a critical role in the development of human cultures.
It was not only the moving of people or goods but also of ideas, words or verses. The countries bordering the Mediterranean are the heirs of the Socratic dialogue and of that ancient approach of listening to others, to get to know their thoughts and ideas. Poets and writers were also traversing the sea to map artistically the coasts, the harbors and the cities. Today as then, we aim to gather a community of multicultural poets&writers in the mediterranean region as a cultural resource for peace and solidarity. Today, after the pandemic, as then after disasters and tragedies, this desire to listen, to share, to dialogue gives everyone the hope that even today knowledge can be one of the keys to change the world and regenerate oneself.
